3/2. Sylvan Takeover @ iL Pirata. 2007 16th St. SF. Free. 9PM. Featuring Andrew Holmgren, David Gborie, Keith D., Luke Lockfeld and OJ Patterson.
[We’re about to class the frack out of iL Pirata, the number one place to live and let loose. Every time you get all the Sylvan family together, the collective rambunctious energy is infectious. Added to that, iL Pirata is the best incubator for rowdy, sweaty, gut-wrenching comedy. AND, the best host in the Bay, Tony Sparks will be spreading a lot of love. I don’t know what else could convince you to come out. Free puppies?]

Ravi Kapur’s first pop-up at Citizens Band went down on Monday without a hitch. Quoth Kapur, “the response Monday night was very positive…it feels pretty natural to do it a few more times and I gotta say it was super fun.” The festivities will continue under the name Liholiho Yacht Club for the next three Mondays (until March 12). And a drumroll, please, for Kapur’s shiny new Facebook page, where you can see pictures of what was served. Going forward, he’ll offer basically the same menu as last time. It includes a first and second course, each made up of 5 dishes served “dinner party style,” and two sweets served in the same fashion. So you get 12 dishes for $65, including tax and gratuity. Beverages are extra.
